The Music Centre is very fortunate to have some dedicated and talented volunteer helpers assisting the staff across different ensembles.

If you are also interested in supporting us through volunteering please contact us, we’d be delighted and very grateful to have you on board!

Friends of Harrogate Music Centre

Friends Of Harrogate Music Centre

Friends of Harrogate Music Centre is a registered charity (registration number 1083480) and exists to support the Music Centre Manager and the work of the Music Centre in and around Harrogate.

We provide the refreshments during Saturday mornings and also at Music Centre concerts and events. We also help organise and run major events such as our Gala Concert, HMC Open Days and support Music Centre staff if they need any assistance.

The funds raised by Friends of Harrogate Music Centre are increasingly important since they are used to cover the purchase of music & instruments, repairs to instruments and also to help subsidise and support trips and events (including – at the discretion and recommendation of the Music Centre Manager – for members who may otherwise not be able to take part).

Join Us

You can generally find us in the Sixth Form Cafe area at St Aidan’s on Saturday mornings – we’re a friendly bunch and always happy to answer questions and make people feel welcome.

If you’d like to get involved and help out then please come and talk to us or contact us via email, we have planning meetings once every half-term and also run a Refreshments Rota which usually means that each person only does one Saturday morning each half-term.

If you’d like to just help out at concerts and events then that is also fine – just let us know and we’ll get you involved…!
